Hattie Carthan Spice Shop
What started out as a mermaid piece, transformed into a story. With this project I collaborated with Farmer Yon to create a piece that Illustrates the spice trade. Spice was a commodity in the old days dating back to Christopher Columbus's journey to America. This mural illustrates these journeys and the impact it had on the world.
GameStation Hero Wall
Gamestation is an arcade in Hollis, Queens catered to children. Under the collective Black Village Arts, I was tasked with other artists to paint popular comic book characters. I was given Wonder Woman and Martian Man Hunter. To highlight the black heritage and culture in this community, I recreated Wonder Woman in the likeness of Nubia. She was her ally in the comics as well as one of the first black superheroes.
